The brief provided by the client stated the need of a retail showroom for the Co-Optex silk sarees in Chennai. The client set the programmatic requirements. They did not have a specific aesthetic requirement but needed something in the league of their competitors, like the Nalli silks, while at the same time differentiating from them. They kept referring to a certain ‘fresh vibe’ representing the sarees they sold. Time to execution was 5 months.
